About Queensbury

Queensbury Dental Practice opened in September 2004 and, thanks to word-of-mouth recommendations, has grown to accommodate new patients and become part of the local community.

The practice was set up by Principal Dentist and Owner Gurpram Lidder who began his dental career in Luton in the 90s, before he opened Queensbury.

Gurpram and his team of dental experts have a wealth of dentistry experience and provide a wide range of routine dental treatments and more specialist cosmetic dental procedures for NHS and private patients in Dunstable, Luton and Bedfordshire.

The minute you enter this family-orientated practice you’ll appreciate the excellent rapport that Team Queensbury have and the huge pride they take in providing local patients with high levels of dental care in a modern and relaxed environment.

I ain’t afraid of no dentist!

Fear of Visiting the Dentist?

Some aren’t, but many of our patients are ‘dental phobic’. In other words, they have a genuine fear of visiting the dentist.

Not visiting your dentist for a long time can mean serious dental problems further down the line. And the longer you leave things, the harder it becomes to fix your dental issues.

If you’re a dentophobe, never fear. At Queensberry Dental Practice one of our specialities is helping patients to sit down in our comfy dentist chairs.

Hope to all Dentophobes

Our Principal Dentist Gurpram offers hope to all local dentophobes:

One of the best moments in surgery is when we treat dental-phobic patients. Because of our reputation in this area we get many word-of-mouth recommendations from current patients who have told their friend or neighbour: ‘Try my dentist, he’s very good with nervous patients, I was nervous once but I no longer am.’

“I’m acutely aware that dentophobic patients are often fearful of dentists, because they’ve had bad experiences in the past."

"It can be certain procedures that dental phobic people struggle with for example tooth extractions or everything"

Personal Attention

“For very nervous patients who can’t cope with the dentist’s chair we offer sedation. But at the moment we can only provide this service to patients on a private basis only, not NHS."

“Let’s face it, none of us enjoy having their mouth probed with dental instruments or having a tooth removed. Dentophobes need extra support and that often means being with someone they trust and it takes time to build that trust."

“I make sure they ask as many questions as they like. In some cases they don’t want to know anything and prefer me to get on with it."

Dental phobic?

If you haven’t visited the dentist for a while, please give us a call or maybe just pop by and have a chat with one of our friendly team.

The Future

Over the next few years we are planning to expand the practice by offering:

More teeth whitening services

Adult orthodontistry, including teeth alignment

Cosmetic procedures such as botox

Dental implants
